This property allows the privacy and peace that country living provides, while being close enough to Washington DC, Baltimore, and downtown Frederick to enjoy easy access to all of the areas main attractions. There are very few properties available like this that are this close to Washington DC and Baltimore. MD.

Also, the laid back set up of the property is very conducive to all types of outdoor gatherings and it is a great place for kids of all ages to explore.

History of the Farm

The original farm and farmhouse was established and built in the late 1700’s. This was a 6th generation dairy farm and the farm remained in the England family until 2010, when we acquired it. At some point in the 70’s, the county put the Big Woods Road formally through the farm and this created two separate lots. We purchased the 72 acre parcel with the farmhouse, and all of the out buildings on the lower side of Big Woods Road. The Upper section of 120 acres is still owned by members of the original England Family, many of whom still live very close by.

Our farm is a perfect location for family reunions, corporate retreats, bridal showers, small weddings, church retreats, weekend getaway, summer vacations, and graduation parties

Are you up for a little day trip? Golfing, hiking, clay shooting, river rafting, kayaking, ziplining, tubing, civil war battlefields, and the monuments of Washington, DC are all within driving distance of the farm.

Sprawling lawns are great for playing outdoor games or hosting a BBQ

The farm is a great place for a gathering. The bank barn can accommodate 50 to 75 people.
